Club Stories

The Rotary Club of Sarnia is grateful for our collaboration with Jackpot City Gaming.
Due to our solid partnership with Jackpot City, $2,000 was provided to the “Royal Thunder Robotics Team” to help them build competitive robots and compete with other robotic teams. This effort follows one of the key themes of Rotary, which is “Basic Education and Literacy.”

The hat is ready for our 100th President.  The Rotary Club of Sarnia will
celebrate 100 years in 2028.  The club already has a hat ready for that
special President who will lead the club during the celebrations of our
100th year of service to the community of Sarnia.  Shown displaying the
100th Presidential Hat, are past president Mark Taylor (#96) , current club
president, Jamie Pole (#97), vice president Kurtis Lush (#98) and vice
president elect Joe Cebulski (#99), who also is the designated caretaker
of the prized (#100) hat until that person is chosen later by the members.
Special celebrations and projects will take place during 2028.

Thank you, Jackpot Time for making this possible.

Thank you to Jackpot City for allowing The Rotary Club of Sarnia members to volunteer for Bingos in order to earn funds for Community Projects.
For the month of June we are supporting a Women’s Personal Support Program through The Family Counselling Centre by making a donation of $2,500.

Another $7500.00 Rotary Action Grant goes to Pathways Health Centre for Children!
Pathways seeks to improve access to services where language presents a barrier. With increasing diversity in the Sarnia-Lambton community, we recognize the need to develop capacity, access reliable translation services, and produce materials to support the delivery of safe, quality care to those for whom English is not the primary language spoken in the home.
> Goals of the Project:
- Support real time language translation for appointments
- Support translation of resources, materials and signage
