The Twin Bridges Interact Club of Sarnia What is Interact?
Interact is a Rotary International-sponsored, not-for-profit, apolitical, international service club for young people ages 14-18. The Twin Bridges Interact Club of Sarnia is sponsored by The Rotary Club of Sarnia and The Rotary Club of Sarnia-Bluewaterland, which provide support and guidance. At the same time, the Interact club is self-governing and self-supporting.
Interact stands for international action; international, because Interact clubs exist in some 113 countries and, action, because club members, or Interactors, are doers, who want to solve problems and improve the quality of life in their own community and around the world. In the process of managing their own club and developing and carrying out their various activities, Interactors develop their leadership skills and initiative and meet new friends.
What do we do?
The goal of international service through Interact is to encourage and foster the advancement of international understanding, goodwill, and peace through a world fellowship of youth united in the ideal of service. Interact clubs organize a variety of projects and activities, depending primarily on the interests of the club members. However, within in the Interact program, all clubs undertake activities to enhance leadership skills, serve their community, and expand international understanding. Together, these activities ensure a balanced club program and provide important experience and opportunities for the personal development of each Interactor.
